Marketing Executive

Marketing Executive required to join a growing ecommerce and marketing agency, with day to day responsibilities having a focus on implementing the marketing strategy for the Agency51 ecommerce team, who build websites on the BigCommerce platform. You will have at least two years experience working in the digital arena within a strategy focused marketing role. You will have experience writing successful marketing plans/calendars, which have resulted in providing a great return, hitting company KPIs. Alongside this, you will have experience in writing informative and eye-catching content for onsite, social media and mailers, utilising past data to guide the content subjects.  

Within the role you will be expected to provide direction for our BigCommerce offering, through the creation and implementation of marketing plans and calendars, and build reports to showcase the trajectory of the previous marketing efforts. The marketing strategies will cover all aspects of digital marketing, from SEO to PPC and social media to mailers. You will be supported by our wider team with the SEO and PPC management being completed by our in-house team of experts. Alongside this, your day to day work will include copywriting, outreach to potential clients and will work closely with our MD who runs the ecommerce arm of the business. 

You will report directly to our MD, however will be closely working with our internal marketing team on the strategy documents you produce. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake marketing for the BigCommerce division of the business 
  • Implementing marketing plans, with the help of the internal marketing team 
  • Producing reports to help support your marketing strategy suggestions 
  • Writing blogs, whitepapers, case studies press releases and content pieces 
  • Writing inspiring long copy that supports our objectives 
  • Gathering keyword research to help write engaging copy with a strong search volume 
  • Developing and building relationships with editors and journalists 
  • Attending BigCommerce events and build relationships with BigCommerce staff  
  • Working with our internal marketing team on providing our social media channels with suitable posts to push our offerings 
  • Writing engaging copy to be utilised in our mailer campaigns we send to our client lists 
  • Supporting the Digital Marketing and Sales team with client work as and when needed 

 

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Ideally educated to degree level in an English language or Marketing related subject 
  • Previous experience of content marketing/copywriting, preferably within a digital environment 
  • Experience of working within mailer platforms, such as MailChimp and Klaviyo 
  • Knowledge of SEO including on-page technical and offsite factors 
  • Knowledge of PPC, which could be from working with agencies 
  • Able to understand and interpret GA4, Google Webmaster Tools and other data sources to generate frequent reports with actionable recommendations 
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop or Canva 
  • Working knowledge of CMS platforms 
  • Knowledge of SEO software and experience using packages 
  • Keep up to date with the latest marketing updates 
  • Track record of delivery of projects against project milestones 
  • Self-starter, analytical, methodical, passionate about digital marketing and technology in general 
  • Able to work as part of a growing team 
  • Good documentation skills, can produce and present quality insights
