Lottie Shaws

The Brief

One of Yorkshire’s most loved bakers trusted Agency51 to redevelop their online solution and target a new B2C business stream.

Lottie Shaw’s came to Agency51 to improve their online B2C presence, to transition from a wholesale led business.

Lottie Shaw’s challenged Agency51 to design and build a new BigCommerce website to improve their ecommerce offering. From serving seriously good baked treats to both retail and wholesale customers, Lottie Shaw’s needed a one stop shop to launch and drive their ecommerce presence.

The old website was tired and needed a refresh on the front end, and the functionality to cope with the growing business at the back end.

The Approach

Agency51 provided Lottie Shaw’s with a solution to not only work with their thriving wholesale business, but to build up the B2C side of the business.

Design was a big factor in the development of the Lottie Shaw’s website. The team at Lottie Shaw’s have a strong brand which is laced within all their product packaging and photography, therefore this needed to be mirrored in the website design.

The wholesale side of the business aiming to move online, therefore processes for the wholesale side of the business needed to be streamlined to ensure not only unique product sets could be provided for customer groups, but invoicing was also simplified for both Lottie Shaw’s and their wholesale customers.

Alongside this, Agency51 built extensive on page options for their wide range of hampers and gifting, to push the gifting side that had the potential to grow for B2C.

The Outcomes

We launched Lottie Shaw’s BigCommerce site in early October 2019, just in time for them to make over 3X the revenue over the following Christmas.

Their wholesale network blew out of the water following the site launch, placing the Lottie Shaw’s brand rightfully across shops far and wide.

Following the site launch we’ve stepped it up, creating a comprehensive marketing package for Lottie Shaw’s, bespoke to their needs. From social media success to engaging mailers that month on month continue to prove great results for revenue; we are incredibly excited about what is next for Lottie Shaw’s.

Lottie shaw’s made it as a finalist of Baking Industry Awards 2022, Online Bakery Business of the Year.

"We were very happy with the new site, which captured our brand values and Yorkshire heritage well whilst being easier to navigate, and we’ve been noticing better customer engagement as well. Orders are well up, and we’re optimistic about the online future of the business."
