GQ Tobaccos was already trading online on the BigCommerce platform using the older Blueprint legacy theme available to stores created before November 2016. They wanted to not only upgrade their ecommerce site to the latest version (Stencil) but they wanted a complete redesign and unlock their brand potential of which they knew GQ Tobacco was capable.

As well as a technical upgrade and a design uplift, another core requirement was digital marketing. Having a great looking, robust and powerful online platform was only half the battle. They wanted to promote the site, gain visibility and win new customers and for that they needed an agency to push the envelope and drive sales.

The Outcomes

Upon commission, Agency51 embarked on a full rebrand of GQ Tobaccos assets including new logo, colour pallet, typefaces, icons, illustrations and visual imagery.

The site was rebuilt using the Stencil theme and conducted an in-depth data migration project to ensure the site could pick up from where the previous version had left off. As well as the data migration, there needed to be a comprehensive Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) audit, too. This would protect organic search rankings and provide a foundation to build further growth on search engines.
