We are a growing agency dedicated to delivering excellent results for our clients. We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Head of PPC to join our team and lead our paid search accounts.

As Head of PPC, you will be in charge of managing and optimising paid search campaigns across various platforms such as Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and social media accounts. You’ll lead a small team of PPC specialists, and work closely with the other teams within our marketing department to drive traffic, increase conversions, and improve ROI. You will have at least 5 years experience in paid media and will work under the Director of Marketing.

The role is based out of our York office. One day per week is office based and the remaining are remote working.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and mentor the PPC team.
  • Develop and implement PPC strategies and digital marketing plans to achieve the goals of clients in a wide range of sectors with an ROI focus.
  • Create, monitor, and optimise Google Ads, Bing Ads, and other paid search campaigns.
  • Conduct keyword research, write compelling ad copy, and improve landing page performance.
  • Analyse and report on campaign performance, making data-driven decisions to improve results.
  • Collaborate with other teams, including SEO and content, to ensure integrated marketing efforts.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest PPC trends, tools, and best practices and ensure this is relayed to the team, providing training to team members where necessary.
  • Overall responsibility of managing the PPC budgets for clients, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Overseeing the account management of all PPC clients and guiding the team to enhance client relationships and grow accounts.
  • Support the production of strategy documents and proposals.
  • Onboard new clients seamlessly.

Skills & Experience Required: 

  • Proven experience in PPC management, with a strong understanding of Google Ads and other paid search platforms.
  • Experience of working with affiliate platforms.
  • Good working knowledge of HTML and CMS platforms.
  • Experience managing a team and leading projects.
  • An eye for detail, strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to produce and present quality insights using simple language where required for non-technical clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with setting up conversion tracking.
  • Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, or similar is a plus.
  • SEO experience is desirable
